Legal Services offered in Panama and overseas

The legal services offered by Gray & Co. (Panama lawyers) centre around "relocating to Panama" and Corporate and Commercial Law, branching off from these principal areas into matters which have developed to meet the needs of our local and overseas clients.  

We have classified the different practice areas under various headings, although there is generally a lot of overlap between one and another.

Commercial law:

Corporate Law:

1. Corporate Law - establishment of a corporation in Panama, the British Virgin Islands (International Business Companies), Anguilla (local company and IBCs) and other jurisdictions; capitalisation provisions; and advice regarding corporate governance issues. 

2. Partnerships - establishment of limited and general partnerships

3. Limited Liability Companies (LLCs)

4. Hybrid Companies and Companies Limited by Guaranty

Offshore Services:

1. Yacht Registration - in Panama and in the British Virgin Islands

2. Offshore Services - formation of British Virgin Island (BVI) Companies & Trusts, establishment of Panamanian Foundations and general advice regarding establishment of bank accounts in BVI & Panama. 

Public Law: 

1. Administrative matters, such as applications for commercial licenses, registration of a company with the Social Security Board, and presentation of labour contracts to the Ministry of Labour. 

2. Local Projects & Administrative Issues - such as applications for Environmental Impact Studies, Tourism Institute applications, Maritime Authority Concession Contract applications, etc. 

3. Immigration - presentation of applications for authorised visas, visas for temporary visitors, and immigration applications for temporary and permanent residency, including work permits

Civil Law:

1. Real Estate - preparation of contracts and review of title documents.

2. Estate Planning - Asset Protection and Estate Planning for clients, as well as Preparation of Last Wills & Testaments.
