Multiple Entry/Exit Permits

For the requirements for the Pensionado Visa, please visit this page:  Panama Pensioner Visa - Requirements to apply for Pensionado Status

All immigrants to Panama, i.e. persons who have temporary or permanent residency (including the 3-month "in process" cards) must obtain multiple entry/exit permits if they wish to be able to leave the country during this time.

Although citizens of some countries are not required to get tourist cards (i.e. pay the $5.00) when they enter Panama, all immigrants must have valid multiple entry/exit permits in their passports when they leave or enter.  This applies as much to pensioner as it does to residents of any other class.

bulletIf you have a 3-month temporary card, then the multiple will only be issued for the 3-month period.
bulletIf you have a 1-year card for temporary residence, then the multiple will only be issued for one year.
bulletPermanent residents can obtain the multiple entry/exit permit for a maximum of 2 years.

If you do not intend to travel, then it is not necessary to obtain this.  Please note, however, that the multiple entry/exit permit takes 48 hours to obtain (i.e. two working days).  Therefore, it should be obtained prior to any trip overseas.

Please remember - we will need:

  1. You to fill in and sign the form (or to sign a Special Power of Attorney, authorising Gray & Co. to request it on your behalf);
  2. Your original passport (since the Multiple is actually stamped into your passport);
  3. Two (2) passport-sized photographs.
