Requirements to obtain an Immigrant Visa as "Married with a Panamanian" where Panamanian spouse is working and foreign spouse is economically dependent

All documents issued overseas must be Authenticated before being presented in Panama

[Requirements to apply for Permanent Residency]

  1. Power of Attorney and Application through a Lawyer (we will prepare both of these)

  2. Certified or Cashier's Cheque for One Hundred US Dollars (B/. 100.00) payable to the National Treasury (Tesoro Nacional)

  3. Medical Certificate of Good Health

  4. Police Certificate of Good Conduct

  5. Photocopy of the passport page, where the general details of the applicant are shown

  6. Four (4) passport-sized photos

  7. Original passport, which must be valid for at least six more months

  8. Marriage Certificate

  9. Certification of the full names of the Applicant's parents 

  10. Birth Certificate of the Panamanian Spouse, issued by the Panamanian Civil Registry

  11. Photocopy of the current cédula  of the Panamanian Spouse, duly authenticated by the Civil Registry

  12. Letter from the Panamanian Spouse, accepting economic responsibility for the foreign spouse

  13. Proof of the Economic Solvency of the Panamanian Spouse:

Work Reference from the current employer, with the Social Security Receipt; and/or

bullet

Tax Returns with the corresponding receipts of payment of taxes (if photocopies are presented, these must be duly authenticated by the Ministry of Economy and Finance).

Requirements to Obtain Permanent Residency with the Right to Cédula, as Married to a Panamanian

  1. Power of Attorney and Application through a Lawyer

  2. Medical Certificate of Good Health

  3. Photocopy of the passport page, where the general details of the applicant are shown

  4. Four (4) passport-sized photos

  5. Original passport, which must be valid for at least six more months

  6. Marriage Certificate

  7. Birth Certificate of the Panamanian Spouse, issued by the Panamanian Civil Registry

  8. Photocopy of the current Cédula of the Panamanian Spouse, duly authenticated by the Civil Registry

  9. Certification of the full names of the Applicant's parents and their nationalities

  10. Letter from the Panamanian Spouse, accepting economic responsibility for the foreign spouse

  11. National (Panamanian) Certificate of Good Standing - for Applicant (this is the Paz y Salvo issued by the Ministry of Economy & Finance, indicating that the applicant does not owe any taxes)

  12. Proof of the Economic Solvency of the Panamanian Spouse:
